As our name suggests, Bricolage Rare Books offers an eclectic mix of material to delight, challenge, and charm you. Though we tend to gravitate toward visual culture (including art, photography, graphic design, and illustration), we are interested in anything that is unique, unusual, and has a great story to tell. In addition to rare books, you will also see lots of ephemera, photographs, original art, and the occasional object in our offerings.
Kait Manning has over 10 years of experience in the book trade. She graduated with a degree in Art History from Vassar College and spent a few years as a classical actor in Washington, D.C. before obtaining a Master’s degree from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Her first job in the trade was with B & L Rootenberg in Los Angeles, and she has spent the last decade as the Manuscript Specialist at Phillip Pirages Fine Books in McMinnville, Oregon (where she continues to work in a part time capacity). As part of her continuing education, Kait has attended Rare Book School, CABs, and YABs. When she is not in the office, Kait enjoys making music with her band Catch & Release, gardening, travelling, and making up raps about her two cats.
